A study by Northwestern University and Harvard found that telomere length can be used to predict cancer risk more than 10 years in advance. In a study of a total of 792 people, 135 of them developed cancer. All 135 of these people were found to have shorter-than-normal telomere lengths compared to people of the same age. Read more
